In a large, plush, cabaret style suite (not words you’d associate with Barnsley) underneath the 4 star Holiday Inn is where Barnsley’s newest comedy night is held. Bringing you a night to rival large city venues and acts is this night, hoping to become one of the gems of the comedy scene in Yorkshire.

Born in April of 2009, Comedy @ The Cricketers’ in Keighley is a wonderful anomaly. On paper it just doesn’t have the right to be as wonderful as it is. Every month a sell-out house welcomes the likes of Alex Boardman, Mick Ferry, Jason Cook, Toby Hadoke, Duncan Oakly and many, many more. Some have called it the best gig in the country. It would be rude of me to argue. Book in advance or you probably won’t get in.

Comedy Cellar at Verve is a weekly new act/new material night.

Nelson
