A respected club for many years, the weekly gig in the basement of the York City Screen cinema is intimate, friendly and has a fantastic underground atmosphere. Black Comedy at the Black Swan is a recent addition to the York Comedy scene which has rapidly become an essential fixture on alternate Tuesdays. Bizarrely accompanied by a tapestry of Henry VIII(?), a variety of acts perform fortnightly in a zanily medieval room. Medieval in decor only - the crowd are lovely and it's a bargain 2 entrance.
